the blues

Oh what I would give to be "finished" with my new place...Im not to far but still looking for a new coffee table, console table and side tables...lots of tables! Its hard to find time to put everything together and search for the "right" items while on a budget & working! I have it (somewhat) narrowed down to the look I am going for. And like I have said before I had a black, white, gray, gold & silver mix in mind...keeping it neutral and simple. But I just bought this painting from LA artist Lindsay Cowles so my design is going to change a little bit...still working on that part obviously! I know that I don't want to bring to much blue into the room...maybe just a throw? Here are some rooms inspiring me and my picks. Any other suggestions?

  1. I think a throw, a couple of vases or a few cushions would look great. No need to go overboard with blue, let the painting be the feature. Love your moodboard!

  5. We are of the same mind...all of it! I'm still obsessing over that DVF tray (square version)! Barcelona chair makes everything look more expensive and modern -- go for it. So excited to see your place!

  6. Lily! Ive got an idea - can you find a cheap wood (or other) coffee table that you like the bones/lines of on Craigslist? I had the grossest old parquet wooden console table and I re-did it in black gloss with gilt gold inlay. My table has just plain ole parsons' lines to it, here was my inspiration pic (http://www.cococozy.com/2011/04/let-there-be-stripes.html)
