missoni & target = !!!

The moment I heard that Missoni was coming to Target (and with a collection rumored to have 400 items) I was instantly thrilled! I cant wait to see the entire collection and imagine it will take some hunting down to find the best items in the collection, like the bedding...I NEED that throw in the sixth photo and how fabulous are the ceramic trays in the fifth photo? And a Missoni bike...how fun! Available at Target September 13th!! Cant wait. Are you excited?

I am home from Vegas and completely exhausted...and in need of a mini vacation to recover from my mini vacation but instead I am off to work! Vegas is such a bright place filled with so many people that it seems like the city never sleeps. Vegas + summer + bright things bring happiness. all sparkle all the time & a getaway

I am off to Las Vegas this morning for a little getaway (and to get out of LA for carmageddon). I am most looking forward to laying by the pool (probably with a frozen beverage in hand) and hope its not too unbearably hot! I also cant wait for nights out with good friends! What better place than Vegas to pile on the sparkle...so lets see just how much sparkle I can pack into one post! My suitcase is filled with bright colors, bikinis & a little sparkle! I am really loving the warm and cozy boho look that feels like it has been lived in forever and that the items have been collected from all around the world! How gorgeous is the bedroom in the first photo...I love the bed/linens and the turquoise & gold bench mixed with the sleek wood floors! The patterns, textures and layers & layers of prettyness are what "make" the boho look! The boho look is equally appealing for fashion looks in my book (the oversized tops and dresses are right up my alley)! Just pile on the jewelry and you are good to go! Loving the boho look or not for you?

Hello!  I’m Haley from Cardigan Junkie and I’m so happy to be here today while Lily is filling in over on my blog.  She and I are both big fans of dream decorating even though we have real life budgets, and we hought it would be fun for us each to build our ideal bedroom if budgets (and boys) were not a factor in the decision making.

I share a room with a husband who doesn’t even think headboards are necessary, so it was really fun for me to go nuts creating a girly, relaxing space with a huge bed and fun patterns.

lonny perfection

Have you seen the new July/August issue of Lonny magazine? Well if you haven't, you should definitely check it out. There are tons of gorgeous things in the new issue, but this home of Lauren Gold-design director of the Nate Berkus firm is beyond fabulous...I could move right in! The neutral palate mixed with some natural elements, black, white & gold accents and a dash of leopard is the perfect mix. The black, white & taupe bookshelf is perfectly styled. The whole place gives me so much inspiration for my place...I can only hope it looks half as good once I am finished!!

With summer in full swing, I find myself gravitating towards brighter colors than I normally wear. Maybe its the bright & happy weather? Probably! Whatever it is, I love the extended hours of sun...especially when I get to spend the time outside with good friends and food (like I did this weekend)! Pink and orange is such a fun color combination...especially for summer...and looks great with white and black (like in the kitchen in the ninth photo). Both colors have been a great source of inspiration for my office (which I am STILL working on & SO ready for it to be finished already)!! These two colors are so bright and cheery, which is perfect for an office space. How gorgeous is this Rothko? Do you like to use pink & orange in your home or wear the colors?
