Happy Monday! Another paper and exam due for me today so I have been very busy with all things school related. My weekend was spent with friends, nice dinner out with some sake and studying! What did you do? Another busy week ahead...and so excited that my mom is coming on Wednesday to celebrate my birthday a week early! Only a few exams and a paper standing between me and a fun filled weekend (yes, I am already thinking ahead to the weekend)! These pretty gold filled images are inspiring me right now and I know more pretty pictures are what will get me through the next few days! Hope your week is off to a fabulous start.

miu miu musings

I took a little break from my weekend of studying and working on a project due today to stop by the Miu Miu store (it was actually more like my friend had to pick something up and I tagged along but lets just pretend that I "stopped by"...Ha)! Anyways, the store was gorgeous and of course there were multiple wish list items! I have been dreaming about miu miu ever since and I cant get this particular bag out of my head. Its high up on my birthday "wish list"...actually at the top! So fingers crossed that the birthday fairy is nice to me this year. Since my mind has been lost in miu miu land here are some miu miu pretties I am loving.

top five-chunky knits

This weekend I took a last minute getaway to San Diego. A friend and I took the train down and stayed with her family. It was a gorgeous weekend there and I was able to spend some much needed time relaxing. Sorry I have been so MIA from the blog world the past few weeks but the real world has just been taking up every spare moment! How was your weekend? Hope this week is a little slower than the past two and that I can finally catch up a bit. I am excited it is October (my birthday month) and cant wait to wear Fall clothes! I did a little shopping in San Diego and bought a few gorgeous chunky knit sweaters which I simply cannot wait to wear. Happy Monday everyone!!

With Fall officially here I am completely ready to embrace the cooler weather...a lot has to do with the fact that my Summer tan is quickly fading and I am ready to cover up with cozy sweaters and leather jackets! Oh and boots, I cant wait to start wearing my favorite boots again. It is still pretty warm here in LA but it is getting cooler at night and I did manage to wear a few light sweaters over the weekend (its a start)! I also cant wait for cooler nights so I can cozy up at home with my favorite blankets, lots of candles and homemade soup. What is your very most favorite thing about Fall?

With the Fall semester only a few weeks in, I already feel like I am floating from one thing to the next to the next to the next...like a never ending list of things to do! Its so overwhelming looking at my school calendar seeing all the exams, papers and projects I have to complete in the next few months! But I guess thats just how life is, right? Oh how I am longing for the carefree days of Summer. But looking forward to Fall as well. Hmm...a bit of a transition period I guess. Hope you had an amazing weekend and are ready for another week! Happy Labor Day everyone! Hope you are enjoying the last days of summer and soaking up every single last ray of sun and delicious bbq meal. What are you doing for Labor Day? Oh and as far as no white after labor day...pretty sure ill be keeping it around! I definitely do not follow the "no white after labor day" rule because how can you NOT wear white? I keep it around year round...it goes with everything. Do you?

top five - back to school

I cant believe that I am starting class again today (my last & final year)! This summer most definitely flew by, I guess thats what happens when you work six days a week? It was well worth it though! Don't worry, I had some fun mixed in with all the work! Back to school and Fall kind of go hand in hand right? But unfortunately (because ill be walking around campus for hours) it will still be in the upper 90's where my school is! Really not looking forward to walking around in the heat today! Despite the heat, Im going to pretend Fall is here. So here are my back to school picks from Madewell.

With Fall right around the corner, I have been soaking up as much sun and as many last minute Summer related activities as I possibly can. My family vacay in Laguna last week was amazing and I SO wish I could go back! But its back to reality this week. I finally ordered a pillow from Luxury Monograms-that I won from Keely at Luxe + Lillies months ago now, which has put me on a yellow kick. Thanks Keely and Melanie at Luxury Monograms!! I chose the yellow chevron with an L in gray. The pillow came last week and it looks great in my office! Here is some bright inspiration for the last week of Summer (my last week before starting classes again anyways)!! Happy Monday :)

Happy monday everyone! I am thoroughly enjoying my time at the beach...despite the slightly overcast weather (I am hoping it clears up a bit more for the rest of the week though). I have enjoyed laying on the beach (trying to get every little bit of sun that I can), walking around town and eating delicious meals out! Hope your weekend was relaxing! Here are some pretty things that are making me happy this week. Especially loving the scarf & knit sweater in the first photo and the super sparkly starfish necklace!!

orange you glad

Orange is such a great color for summer and works for fall as well ! It looks great with bright colors like pink for summer and I love it with gray and brown for the fall. I love it as an accent color for the home and as an accent color for accessories as well-pillows or art and shoes or a clutch ! How do you like to use/wear orange?
