marbled

I am loving this gorgeous marbled paper. I ordered a piece from Paper Mojo and cant wait for it to arrive so I can hang it up. Such a fun and inexpensive way to bring some cool art into my home! I think it will look great with my new dark gray sofa and gold & silver accents mixed with some black & white as well. What do you think? Here are some gorgeous rooms and accessories giving me inspiration for my living room.

How gorgeous & inspiring is all of this art by Nicole on sketch42I was so happy to stumble across her blog (cant believe I havent seen it before now?!) and really love all of her gorgeous artwork and her beyond fabulous home just as much! It gets even better, all of her art is for sale on her etsy site and on her website. Oh how I would love to buy the abstract water painting (seen in the 4th & 5th photos)...I know it would be perfect above my new sofa! She also makes these awesome lucite jeweled boxes and lucite trays...check her out!

new new new

So my new sofa was delivered yesterday and I LOVE it. One minor thing, I ordered a bench cushion but when it was delivered I noticed it has two individual cushions instead of one cushion straight across. Here is my new sofa and below is the West Elm Blake sectional with a bench cushion (which is the sofa I originally wanted). I decided to not order the West Elm sofa for a few reasons; it is backordered for about a month and the price between the sofa I ended up ordering and the West Elm sofa ended up being about $800 (after tax & delivery costs). I also got to choose the exact dimensions to fit my space and got free delivery since the store is local, oh and I got the sofa in the EXACT same fabric & color I wanted from West Elm! Should I have them remake it with a bench cushion or just keep it the way it is? HELP!!

And a sneak peek of MY new Erin Ashley painting (more photos to come)! I LOVE it so much and the gold canvas is a big piece I painted!

So what should I do about the cushion?

charcoal gray & a pop of pink

Charcoal gray and pink - love how the pink really pops against the dark gray in this striking combination. These two colors have been big inspirations for my new living room and my dark gray sofa is finally being delivered today! I plan on using bright pink (just a little bit) to brighten up the dark sofa and have a few pink accessories like pink crystal bookends! I love how the pink is used as a pop of color in the interiors and the outfits. What other colors do you think look good with charcoal gray and pink?

top five-bright is right

This week I have been all about bright colors, mixed with my favorite - a little bit of gold of course! Since my new place has all white walls, I have been very into bright accessories and artwork to add some color to my space. I love all the bright colors seen in Jen of Made By Girls line of paintings on her new website Cocoa & Hearts (second photo down). All paintings are original and done by Jen! This orange and gold statement necklace is a m a z i n g, as is the wall of brightly colored shoes! And the last photo is of the beautiful bright silks from SemiPrecious bead salon in Santa Monica (a fun place to make jewelry)!

How do you like to use bright colors?

mad about...

Since moving into my new apartment I have been really wanting a piece of lucite furniture. I think lucite would look perfect with my wood floors and white walls and I love that a console table doesn't take up a lot of space and literally disappears into the wall (nice for a small space!) I am really on the search for a lucite console table...any suggestions? Trays are also a fun way to bring lucite into your space, I want one for my office! I really love these trays from tilly maison and she just added more to her etsy shop...check them out hereI definitely NEED some lucite in my life!

sea life

Over a month ago I won a $100 gift certificate to Joss & Main from Arianna Belle and her super cute blog. Thanks so much Arianna! I waited to use it until I found something I really loved. As soon as I saw these prints, I knew I had to have them. They are by Vintage Smith and they are reproductions of coral and squid images from the mid-1700's. They arrived last week and I love how they look in my new apartment! What do you think?
