Oh what I would give to be "finished" with my new place...Im not to far but still looking for a new coffee table, console table and side tables...lots of tables! Its hard to find time to put everything together and search for the "right" items while on a budget & working! I have it (somewhat) narrowed down to the look I am going for. And like I have said before I had a black, white, gray, gold & silver mix in mind...keeping it neutral and simple. But I just bought this painting from LA artist Lindsay Cowles so my design is going to change a little bit...still working on that part obviously! I know that I don't want to bring to much blue into the room...maybe just a throw? Here are some rooms inspiring me and my picks. Any other suggestions?

orange you glad

Orange is such a great color for summer and works for fall as well ! It looks great with bright colors like pink for summer and I love it with gray and brown for the fall. I love it as an accent color for the home and as an accent color for accessories as well-pillows or art and shoes or a clutch ! How do you like to use/wear orange? Big necklaces have never really been my "thing"-as much as I love them I tend to wear more delicate necklaces but big bangles & cuffs are another thing. I love how fresh and modern pops of pink can look in a room. Pink accents can bring a super chic look to a room, especially when paired with black, white or charcoal gray. And what looks better with pink than a little bit of gold (like the fabulous vintage pink & gold chair)? Gold accents really pop against the pink! Do you like to decorate with pink? celine chic

I know the Celine luggage tote has been out for a while now, but there is just something about this bag. Even after seeing it around I am still loving it. The look is so classic and its definitely a bag that will last longer than one season. And it seems like the color combinations are endless...I don't know which I would pick (in my dreams)! The leopard and light tan are definitely my favorites but the classic black is always a good choice and the royal blue is amazing as well! Which one would you choose?

Shorts are definitely a summer staple of mine. They are so easy to throw on and look great paired with a sheer T, silk blouse, printed tank or knit sweater. I love that there are so many options out there other than plain old denim or khaki...how about ikat, sequined, striped or leopard? Happy Monday ! Hope you all had an extra fabulous weekend and that you are ready for another week. And I absolutely cannot believe that it is already August-SO not ready for summer to end quite yet! Anyways, I am loving this particular shade of purple-kind of a bright violet/orchid. I especially love it paired with the white in the first photo and love the gorgeous cover of the Hermes scarf book...a great way to add a pop of color to your bookcase or coffee table!
